Fun Times

Well it has been another couple of busy weekends for Liv and I as usual! Olivia is such a good baby and loves to go out and see things. No matter where we are going, she is always looking all around. Last weekend was Fathers Day, so we were very busy trying to visit everyone. Here is a picture of Olivia with her Grandpa and Great Grandpa! The other pic is a cute pic I took of her on Fathers Day playing in the grass!

Olivia is still working on those 4 teeth! We have been giving her Gerber Biter Biscuits, she LOVES them! Here is the funniest pic of her eating one. After giving her one of Friday though, I noticed an immediate red rash on her cheeks (where all the "cookie" mess was) and called the doctors. They said it sounded like an allergic reaction! AH! I hope not...will try 1 more time in a couple of days to confirm the rash is coming from the biscuits and not something else...?

This weekend was especially busy. On Friday we went to the Balloonfest. I thought that Olivia would be really interested in the balloons, but she really wasnt. She was more interested in looking around at all the people, so I didnt get any good pics of that. The next day we had an open house to go to. Olivia had a BALL. She was such a good girl! She wore her new lifejacket for the first time, (for about 5 minutes) and then took turns swimming with Aunt Mel, Aunt Amber, and Aunt Becca. We also had fun playing in the moonwalk. Liv had her first sleepover ever at Aunt Dar's house and slept through the night for them. Thanks again Aunt Dar, Becca and Amber!!

This last picture is Olivia's latest trick in which I call the "Bear Crawl". It is too funny, she stands up and moves around using her feet and hands instead of her knees. Sure is cute to see her try all of these new things!

8 Months Old

I cant believe that Olivia is already 8 months old? Where did the time go? It has been such a busy week! It is hard to keep up with all of her accomplishments! In 1 weeks time Olivia learned to crawl, pull herself up on furniture, and cruise! (walk along the furniture!) Sure wish she would slow down! She has also been standing alone by herself and occasionally waving bye bye. I forsee walking in the near future. She wants to be a big girl and walk soo badly. She has completely mastered the crawling thing and is getting bored with it! She learned very quickly how to push her stroller. Of course all this means many more "boo boos" as she is not exactly what one would call stable, but shes working on it! She is still trying very hard to cut those 4 teeth...this has meant another sleepless week for Mommy. Its so pitiful on them cuz there isnt a whole lot that actually helps... : ( Her favorite toy as of lately are Emmas babydolls. She cannot get enough of them! We found out a few weeks ago that she has seasonal allergies and since being on her medicine has improved SOO much. Here are some recent pics of her...enjoy!

Many Firsts...

Well it sure has been a really busy last couple of weeks for us! So much so that I am 1 week late in posting some of these pics! Last Friday Olivia was able to meet her Great Grandpa for the very first time! (He lives in Florida for the winter). He was very happy to see her...she was kind of unsure. I think that she is going to warm up to him just fine though!!

The next day we went to Leisure Lake campground in Durand. What a good day we had there. Olivia went swimming for the first time. She had SOO much fun! Splashing away, she was even trying to drink the water! We also went on a paddle boat ride (they had a life jacket small enough for her so she was able to go too...she napped the whole time) I dont have a pic of that cuz we left the camera at the house...and she played at the beach right after the boat ride. We had a great time that weekend!

This weekend we had a family barbeque at Uncle Todd and Tia Cris' house. Olivia met her cousin Madelynne and Aunt Debbie for the first time. She had a lot of fun visiting everyone and playing in the grass. She was really on the move today... Afterwards we stopped at Target and I bought her a new toy...its a baby stroller. It is a walker type of toy, she hasnt quite figured it out yet, but likes to stand by it. She is getting WAY to big! Just a few pics I like at the end...

Olivia learned how to crawl!!!

Olivia is crawling a bit in this video...part of the way through she switches to the one legged scoot!! She is really getting all over the place now! She hasnt QUITE mastered this trick but im sure its soon to come! She is getting SO big, SO fast! None of the 4 teeth have broken through yet...

Mommy's New Ride!!

YEA!! I finally got my new car!!! This will make life SOO much easier for me! Not to mention it will be loads safer for transporting the kids. My old car was starting to have some issues and I didn't feel safe toting the kids around in it anymore. I got a 2009 Mercury Mariner! I LOVE it! Nothing special but perfect for what I need it for! Olivia loves it too! I got some pictures of her playing in it.

Along with the new car, came Olivia's new car seat, a big girl car seat! She LOVES this! I can't believe she has already outgrew her old one.. : ( She is growing up way too fast....

Last night she also started crawling...she hasnt mastered this yet, only a few strides here and there. Im sure it will only be a few short days until she is all over the houes. She went to the doctors today and weighs 17 pounds 14 ounces. And she is also getting FOUR teeth, all at the same time. Lucky me! lol.

Olivia's First Trip to the Zoo and Memorial Day

This weekend I took Olivia to the Detroit Zoo. It was her first trip ever to the zoo... (and Emma's too!) We went with Aunt Mel, Sam, and Jake. All of the kids were soo well behaved. Olivia LOVED being there. She was looking around at everything. I look forward to taking her again this summer sometime, probably to a different zoo! (My battery was running low so Mel has most of the pics on her camera but here are a few of what I had!)

Today was Memorial Day and I decided to dress Olivia up in her Red, White and Blue, and take her to a parade in Pinckney. We watched Jake walk with his Boy Scout troop. Emma had alot of fun collecting all the candy that was thrown. Olivia was very intrigued by everything moving by her. She especially liked the marching band and the firetrucks...they didnt scare her, she just blinked everytime the sirens went off!

A Visit with the Harmons...

Olivia turned 7 months old this Saturday! She is still soooo close to crawling. She goes backwards, and gets on her knees and rocks back and forth. She can move herself around very well with her arms. Will keep you posted!

We went to visit her aunts on her dads side Saturday as well. She met her cousin Charley Ann, who is about a month younger than her. They were really cute together! I took lots of pictures as usual. Olivia was a very good girl and had fun playing with everyone. (who doesnt love being the center of attention!) Thanks Aunt Tracey for hosting us all (and cousin Matt for a yummy lunch : ) )! We hope to come out and see everyone again sometime really soon!
