9 Month Update!

We went to Olivia's 9 month appointment today. She got her last Hep B shot EVER! Wahoo! She didnt even cry, she whined with the poke and was done after that! Dr. Kottke said that he is not convinced that the rash was caused by the Prevacid (I am though) so I need to give it to her again to make sure. So I will start that up again tommorow to test it out. She officially weighed 18 pounds 10 ounces and was 28 3/4 inches long. He said she is developing great! She also can start eating some foods on her own...so tonight for dinner she ate her first real meal! A meatball and some mashed potatoes! Man did she love that!
I also found a daycare provider for Olivia today! I am very excited! It is a lady who does it out of her home SUPER cheap! Its about 20 minutes away but well worth the drive for the price! I felt really comfy in her home and will be comfortable taking Olivia there. Only a few other kids will be there, so that will be really good as well.
Took Liv for a playdate last night with her "boyfriend". they were cute. Although she was the bully of the bunch. There was a 5 month old baby and she kept taking his binky away! Here is a pic of Liv with Dominic and his mommy

9 Months Old Already!

Its hard to believe that she is already 9 months old! Didnt I just start this blog? We have had a pretty eventfull week....we started her on the Prevacid and she had been sleeping SOO much better at night. What a difference! I noticed a rash all over her monday night and thought it was linked to a food. Rash was even worse by Tuesday night and Benadryl didnt help....after a night in the ER and a misdiagnosis Dr. Kottke said it may be an allergic reaction to keep an eye on it. I forgot to give her her meds a couple days later and all of a sudden the rash disappeared! So I think the medicine was the culprit all along! We go for her 9 month check up on Wednesday.

Aside from all of that, she is busier than ever!! Crawling at master speeds EVERYWHERE! She is starting to really cruise around and pull herself up on everything. She has also mastered crawling up the stairs. Yep, all the way to the top!! She loves to say "HI" and says "mama, dada, and baba" Although Im not convinced she actually knows what any of that means... She started eating Cheerios, the Gerber Puffs, and Yogurt Melts and seems to really enjoy snacking!! She is loving summer and being outside. Enjoy the updated pics!

Olivia's First Trip to the Waterpark!!

Yesterday we took Olivia to Rolling Hills Water Park for the first time. She LOVED it!! She had soo much fun playing in the water and watching all of the kids play. We went in the lazy river and kiddie pool and she just splashed and played all day long. I cannot wait to take her again. Aunt Emma had a lot of fun swimming around too!

And I dont know if the medicine has kicked in already or if she was just whooped from the waterpark, but last night was the first night in WEEKS she slept good for Mama! Only woke up 1 time! And speaking of Mama...she has been muttering "dadadada" for a couple of weeks now (of course she would right?) But yesterday she said "mama" for the first time! And tonight she said it while crying and wanted me! Wahoo!!!

DUH!!!

Why didn't I think of this?? When Olivia was around 2 months old, we discovered she had reflux. They gave us medicine which didn't help so Dr. Kottke said not to use it. So finally as she got older and after thickening her formula, she seems to be improving. She quit throwing up as much and started growing. About the time we started her on food, in particular the 2nd stage of food she has been waking up 3-5 times PER NIGHT! I took her in 1 month ago and was told it was teething...none of those teeth cut through still. While talking about this at work one of my coworkers said what about her reflux? DDDUUUHHHH!!!!!!!! She is up at night cuz her tummy hurts!!!!! Poor kid. I felt so bad after realizing that was probably the issue. We went to the doctors tonight and she gave us a prescription to try. I hope it helps! Olivia has also been refusing fruit and she thinks that it is probably because it upsets her stomach. I cant believe I didnt put this all together myself!!! I feel so bad it has gone on soo long.

Olivia's First 4th of July

This year was Olivia's 1st Fourth of July. I had soo much fun watching the fireworks with her. As usual, I had her dressed up in her holiday outfit. I know Im a dork, but I cant help it! We had a low key day. We went to Great Grandma's for ribs and salad for dinner...(Olivia favored dessert, lol apple pie!) After dinner we went to Fowlerville where everyone EXCEPT Liv was eaten alive by mosquitos for the fireworks. She sat on my lap like a good little girl and watched all the fireworks. She LOVED them!!
On other updates, the facial expressions that Olivia makes these days are hilarious!!! They can be soo funny sometimes. The sweetest thing she does that I keep forgeting to post is that she gives kisses. You know, the super slobbery, wide opened mouth kind?? Although they are messy it is SOO sweet to get one of those! She has also been playing peekaboo the past several weeks. Getting closer and closer to walking....she is really good at cruising along the furniture.

Fun Times

Well it has been another couple of busy weekends for Liv and I as usual! Olivia is such a good baby and loves to go out and see things. No matter where we are going, she is always looking all around. Last weekend was Fathers Day, so we were very busy trying to visit everyone. Here is a picture of Olivia with her Grandpa and Great Grandpa! The other pic is a cute pic I took of her on Fathers Day playing in the grass!

Olivia is still working on those 4 teeth! We have been giving her Gerber Biter Biscuits, she LOVES them! Here is the funniest pic of her eating one. After giving her one of Friday though, I noticed an immediate red rash on her cheeks (where all the "cookie" mess was) and called the doctors. They said it sounded like an allergic reaction! AH! I hope not...will try 1 more time in a couple of days to confirm the rash is coming from the biscuits and not something else...?

This weekend was especially busy. On Friday we went to the Balloonfest. I thought that Olivia would be really interested in the balloons, but she really wasnt. She was more interested in looking around at all the people, so I didnt get any good pics of that. The next day we had an open house to go to. Olivia had a BALL. She was such a good girl! She wore her new lifejacket for the first time, (for about 5 minutes) and then took turns swimming with Aunt Mel, Aunt Amber, and Aunt Becca. We also had fun playing in the moonwalk. Liv had her first sleepover ever at Aunt Dar's house and slept through the night for them. Thanks again Aunt Dar, Becca and Amber!!

This last picture is Olivia's latest trick in which I call the "Bear Crawl". It is too funny, she stands up and moves around using her feet and hands instead of her knees. Sure is cute to see her try all of these new things!

8 Months Old

I cant believe that Olivia is already 8 months old? Where did the time go? It has been such a busy week! It is hard to keep up with all of her accomplishments! In 1 weeks time Olivia learned to crawl, pull herself up on furniture, and cruise! (walk along the furniture!) Sure wish she would slow down! She has also been standing alone by herself and occasionally waving bye bye. I forsee walking in the near future. She wants to be a big girl and walk soo badly. She has completely mastered the crawling thing and is getting bored with it! She learned very quickly how to push her stroller. Of course all this means many more "boo boos" as she is not exactly what one would call stable, but shes working on it! She is still trying very hard to cut those 4 teeth...this has meant another sleepless week for Mommy. Its so pitiful on them cuz there isnt a whole lot that actually helps... : ( Her favorite toy as of lately are Emmas babydolls. She cannot get enough of them! We found out a few weeks ago that she has seasonal allergies and since being on her medicine has improved SOO much. Here are some recent pics of her...enjoy!
