New Things from the past couple weeks...

Well, the past few weeks have been extremely busy for us! With the nicer weather we have been enjoying as much time as possible outside! (That is a pic of Olivia in her first pair of "booty" shorts, lol who knew they made short shorts for babies???) I figured I better update real quick here while I have a minute. Olivia now has her 2 bottom teeth. She is still eating EVERYTHING in sight though, so I think she is going to be getting some more really quick here. Since we are teething we have started giving her fruit to chew on in her mesh bag...she likes frozen fruit, but is leery of fresh fruit. We have found this bag to be cool, but messy!
Speaking of eating everything in sight, one night while Grandma was babysitting, Olivia got a hold of 1 of Aunt Emma's suckers....ripped the wrapper off and started enjoying it! (We had a long talk with Emma about how dangerous this was and not leaving things Livvy can choke on.) But this is a pic just for your viewing pleasure...NO more suckers for Olivia for a LONG time!
Along with being outside, we have been putting Olivia in this walker she is borrowing from her cousin Clara. It is a pink Jeep! She loves to be in this and walks around outside on the patio, its soo cute to see her in it and moving around.
We have been going to a lot of parties lately and here are the girls dressed up last weekend for one of them. Liv is wearing her new sweater from her Aunt Debbie out in Florida! Thank you!
Liv has decided this week that her new bedtime is 10-10:30 pm...Whats up with this?? She refuses to go to bed sooner? And this does NOT mean she sleeps in longer in the morning!! This is a pic of her 10 minutes ago, attempting to crawl. She is SOO close this week to crawling. She gets on her hands and knees and can move side to side with her arms, and can roll everywhere. She tries soo hard to go forward and ends up going backwards! She gets SOO mad that she cannot go where she wants to. Her other new trick is "dancing". She rocks back and forth to nearly any music she hears, it is so cute!

Easter and 6 months old!

Olivia had a great first Easter! She was very interested in her Easter baskets (yes all FIVE of them!) She wanted to grab everything and eat all of the toys. She got a lot of new toys to play with and SOOOOOO many new outfits for spring!! I had a lot of fun watching her enjoy herself. She also got to get dressed up in her pretty dresses for all of the family visiting! I took SOO many pictures, it was really hard to pick just a few to put on here, but I did.
On Thursday she turned 6 months old!! She went to the doctor's today for her 6 month check up. She weighed 15 lbs 12 oz and was 26 3/4 in. long. Our girl is finally growing! We switched her off of the Nutramigen and back onto the regular Enfamil. Hopefully it will go okay. So far it has made her EXTREMELY gassy! lol. Dr. Kottke thought she was doing very good for her age and was surprised to hear that she was sitting up on her own already. The most exciting development of the last few days is that she is getting her first tooth!! I spotted a small white line last wednesday and it has now barely poked through the skin. I will try and get a picture when it finally decides to come all the way through!! Very exciting! And (knock on wood) teething hasnt been horrible....YET. The baby food is going well but she doesnt like fruit very well...believe it or not she prefers green vegetables, in particular peas. She cannot get enough of them! She can move up to 2nd foods as soon as we get rid of all the 1st foods we have at the house. Im glad it is finally spring becuase Olivia LOVES to be outside.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Today Emma, Olivia, and I went to Aunt Sara's to color easter eggs with Dylan and Noah. We had a good time, and the kids really liked it. They were all very excited. And believe it or not, out of 12 different colors, we only had 1 spill!! The boys had a lot of fun dropping the eggs in the colors. Sara was in charge of taking pictures and she got some really cool ones. (She is getting good at this picture taking!) Olivia was very interested in all of the different colors and wanted to grab all of the eggs so badly. There is a picture of her throwing a tantrum becuase Noah was holding an egg that she wanted! lol. And then I had to put a picture of the kids at the end becuase all three of them were feeding Olivia her bottle, it was soo cute!

Updates!

We have been soo busy the past few weeks trying to keep up with life, that I have slacked a bit on taking pics. But we did get some funny ones outside on a nice day, we put Jerry's wig on Liv just to see what she would look like as a blondie! lol. The following day we went to the Goodnough's for family birthdays. Olivia had a lot of fun with the Winnie the Pooh which was about ten times her size. Her and her cousin Jordan had a blast playing on it!

The biggest update as of lately is that Olivia can now SIT UP unsupported by herself!! She loves to sit up and play with all of her toys instead of laying down....and if she is laying down, she tries to sit herself up. She can almost get half of her back off of the ground these days. She also has learned to scoot a bit while she is on her belly....I hope this doesnt mean she will be crawling soon?!?!?

Olivia still LOVES her baby food. She gets Sweet potatoes, Squash, and the latest tonight was Peas. She loves the peas the most I think. This pic is of her shoving Mel's hand into her mouth. Mel just couldnt get the spoon to her mouth fast enough!! By the end of the feeding Mel, Olivia, and our living room were all covered in peas!
!
And here is just a cute pic of Aunt Emma and Olivia relaxing watching "their shows" in the morning! They sure do love one another already!

Weekend with the Grandparents

This weekend Olivia spent some time with my parents. They like to have her on the weekends so Olivia usually spends Saturday night with them. In this picture, Meme is giving Olivia some sweet potatoes.
On sunday we went to a family party on Lori's side. Lori's neice, Elly (who is about 18 months) was very interested in Olivia and this was the best picture I could catch. My camera was in the diaper bag when they were hugging each other! She got very tired and fell asleep in my hand after awhile. Here are some pics!

What a "Sweet" Face!!

Yesterday on Olivia's 5 month birthday it was time to start giving her vegetables. I decided to try out sweet potatoes first. She LOVED them!! I was only going to give her half the container to see how she would do. She doesnt really like cereal so I didn't really think she would do that good with it. But to my surprise she ate the entire container. She was sucking them right off of the spoon before I could get it in her mouth!!

Today was St. Patrick's day so I had to get her all decked out...(some people were expecting a card in the mail, lol) but I did take a couple of pics of her in her pretty shamrock dress and headband! Once Mommy left for work, she had a very fun day with grandma, Aunt Emma, and Poppy....Poppy took her for her first ride down the slide. Im sad I missed it, because I guess she was totally cracking up. She also was holding her own bottle today! By the time I got home, she was tuckered out and ready for a cuddle...she fell asleep with me and we snuggled all night! I didnt want to put her down cuz I know that these types of moments are soon going to be few and far between...

Her New Favorite...

So we have been REALLY busy the past few weeks!! Its been almost a month since my last post! She has mastered rolling over from both belly and back. She is getting stronger by the day and is trying to sit herself up! I have been hearing from a lot of people they think she will crawl early...we'll see. If thats the case I am really going to be in trouble!!! I bought her an Exersaucer and she really loves that. But we decided to put her Jumperoo together and that is her FAVORITE toy. She will stay in there until she falls asleep! She loves jumping and bouncing around in it, never gets old! Here she is with grandma (who is so proud of herself for putting it together!)

We went to the allergist at U of M who seems to think that Olivia is too young to predict if she has asthma or not. They feel as though she may just take colds rough, so thats good. Its been a while since going to the doctor (knock on wood!)

A BIG, HUGE thank you!!!!! to my friend Kristi for taking some pics of Olivia during our 1 really nice day! They turned out great! Here are my two favorites!

Also thanks to Aunt Mel for the new bikini! lol
