Livs 1st Goose Egg : (

Olivia got her 1st Goose Egg on Friday : (. She slammed her forehead on the fireplace and immediately got a bruise and a bump. It was pitiful...This is the best picture I could get. A few days later she still has a bit of a bump and the bruise has turned yellow : ( .

Today was Olivia's first day at daycare. I tried to take a picture just cuz when I came home she had messy hair/clothes/face and it was funny...but this was the best I could get. She absouletly loved it. She was happy to see me when I got there, but after a quick kiss wanted to get right down and play with the kids again. So relieved to know Olivia likes where she will be spending 3 days a week!

In other news, she has stopped eating babyfood for the most part and has moved onto Gerber Graduates or whatever we are eating. She loves to feed herself! She is also getting very brave and taking sets of steps randomly. It wont be long for sure until she just takes off full time! Each day she gets more sassy...her latest is to blow raspberries while eating and getting food EVERYWHERE! She also LOVES her babydolls and even rocks them, so precious. Olivia also learned to give hugs last week, but is very selective as to who gets one! : )

My Baby Can Move!

Okay, I am warning you. This is Livs favorite song. But it is not appropriate for little ears. I do NOT encourage this! lol. But I recieved this as a text message not knowing a naughty song would play...so I opened it and Olivia started dancing! It was too funny! Well now it has become her favorite song and she loves to show off her moves. Dont mind the poor quality I did this with my digital camera!

In other exciting news...She cut another tooth today! : ) that makes a total of 4.

Beautiful Baby!

WOW! Today Olivia is 10 months old! I cant believe it! What better way to celebrate than with a BIG WIN at the Melonfest Beautiful Baby Contest!! Yep, thats right. My little Olivia is Livingston County's Most Beautiful Baby Girl!!! Im soo proud! She won a $100 savings bond and her picture in the newspaper! She had 200,089 votes!! (runner up had 100,000 some) THANK YOU to everyone who voted for her! Thanks also to: Grandma, Great Grandma, Grandpa J, Meme, Uncle J, Aunt Mel, Uncle Chris, Aunt Emma, David and Chelsea for coming up to root her on! (Notice anything different in the pic of me? Mommy got a new do and went back to her natural color!)

Besides the big win, we have had a lot going on! She takes single steps here and there and is a MASTER cruiser! She learned how to clap, so she claps all the time and says "YEA!" (lots of clappin after the contest today!) She "brushed" her own hair yesterday and also was able to pick out Mommy and Daddy in pictures! I am also really liking putting her hair in pigtails! Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer with her before going back to work in the fall.

What a Busy Week!

What a week! We have been on a hiatus since the crawling/pulling up/cruising week. This week she took her first step!!!! Only 1 single step and she hasnt done it since, but what a big girl! She also learned how to say "uh oh" and clap her hands! AND she popped her 3rd tooth out today! Just the edges have cut threw the gum, but its coming! What a week! I cant believe how fast they grow...way too fast!

I also have entered her into the Melonfests 'Beautiful Baby' Contest. Voting is from Monday the 10th until Saturday the 15th at noon. 1 penny = 1 vote. Baby with most votes wins $100 savings bond, $50 second place. there is a boy and a girl winner for each. SO if you would like to vote for Olivia, I am accepting "pennies" or you can vote at the 1st National Bank in downtown Howell. (Big red building on corner!)

Olivia Gets Her Own Room!!!

Olivia has continued to get up 3-5 times per night. Out of desperation I took her back to UofM and they arent sure if she has reflux. Sigh....so we decided to give her the medicine at night and see if that helps. We also decided to move my bed out of our room and give her her own room. The first night she was up 6 times. Last night, she slept ALL night! This is the first time that has happened in MONTHS! YEA!! So Olivia will keep the bedroom and Im living in the living room part of the basement, lol.

Also Olivia has learned to say "Hi" and wave at the same time. The first time she did it we were in Applebees and she did it to the guy in the booth behind us. It was really cute. She also has been standing by herself this weekend for long periods of time. I predict a first step will not be too far away!!
