Olivia's First Trip to the Zoo and Memorial Day

This weekend I took Olivia to the Detroit Zoo. It was her first trip ever to the zoo... (and Emma's too!) We went with Aunt Mel, Sam, and Jake. All of the kids were soo well behaved. Olivia LOVED being there. She was looking around at everything. I look forward to taking her again this summer sometime, probably to a different zoo! (My battery was running low so Mel has most of the pics on her camera but here are a few of what I had!)

Today was Memorial Day and I decided to dress Olivia up in her Red, White and Blue, and take her to a parade in Pinckney. We watched Jake walk with his Boy Scout troop. Emma had alot of fun collecting all the candy that was thrown. Olivia was very intrigued by everything moving by her. She especially liked the marching band and the firetrucks...they didnt scare her, she just blinked everytime the sirens went off!

I LOVE this picture!!!!

A Visit with the Harmons...

Olivia turned 7 months old this Saturday! She is still soooo close to crawling. She goes backwards, and gets on her knees and rocks back and forth. She can move herself around very well with her arms. Will keep you posted!

We went to visit her aunts on her dads side Saturday as well. She met her cousin Charley Ann, who is about a month younger than her. They were really cute together! I took lots of pictures as usual. Olivia was a very good girl and had fun playing with everyone. (who doesnt love being the center of attention!) Thanks Aunt Tracey for hosting us all (and cousin Matt for a yummy lunch : ) )! We hope to come out and see everyone again sometime really soon!

Happy Mother's Day!!

This year was my first Mothers Day. Olivia was soo kind to me that she started the day off at 7am!! lol. We were very busy all day cleaning the house becuase we had a big barbeque to celebrate the day! My grandma and Aunt Dar and her family came over. Aunt Lisa and Emily also joined us. We had a good time with lots of food. Livvy got me an orchid (it says just add ice, so we will see how long I can keep this thing living!) and Christopher (my cousin Mel's boyfriend and one of my best buds) brought me 5 roses! That was soo sweet! We had a great day and look forward to many more! I hope all of the other moms had a wonderful day as well!

We also had a big night, the night before Mothers Day....a big CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. & Mrs. Baranski!!!! Grandma babysat and Jerry and I went to the wedding. We had soo much fun dancing ALL night. Jerry was at his usual post after dinner...mid floor! He had so much fun and was a big hit. It was a beautiful wedding with a GORGEOUS bride!!

New Things from the past couple weeks...

Well, the past few weeks have been extremely busy for us! With the nicer weather we have been enjoying as much time as possible outside! (That is a pic of Olivia in her first pair of "booty" shorts, lol who knew they made short shorts for babies???) I figured I better update real quick here while I have a minute. Olivia now has her 2 bottom teeth. She is still eating EVERYTHING in sight though, so I think she is going to be getting some more really quick here. Since we are teething we have started giving her fruit to chew on in her mesh bag...she likes frozen fruit, but is leery of fresh fruit. We have found this bag to be cool, but messy!
Speaking of eating everything in sight, one night while Grandma was babysitting, Olivia got a hold of 1 of Aunt Emma's suckers....ripped the wrapper off and started enjoying it! (We had a long talk with Emma about how dangerous this was and not leaving things Livvy can choke on.) But this is a pic just for your viewing pleasure...NO more suckers for Olivia for a LONG time!
Along with being outside, we have been putting Olivia in this walker she is borrowing from her cousin Clara. It is a pink Jeep! She loves to be in this and walks around outside on the patio, its soo cute to see her in it and moving around.
We have been going to a lot of parties lately and here are the girls dressed up last weekend for one of them. Liv is wearing her new sweater from her Aunt Debbie out in Florida! Thank you!
Liv has decided this week that her new bedtime is 10-10:30 pm...Whats up with this?? She refuses to go to bed sooner? And this does NOT mean she sleeps in longer in the morning!! This is a pic of her 10 minutes ago, attempting to crawl. She is SOO close this week to crawling. She gets on her hands and knees and can move side to side with her arms, and can roll everywhere. She tries soo hard to go forward and ends up going backwards! She gets SOO mad that she cannot go where she wants to. Her other new trick is "dancing". She rocks back and forth to nearly any music she hears, it is so cute!
