Aprill 24, 2010 Mommy Graduated!

Finally graduated!! It only took me 6 years and a baby to do! SOO glad to finally be done! I worked very hard to finish my degree! Now, if only I knew what I wanted to do with myself! It was good to know I was done. We celebrated with a big party at our house afterwards! Lots of food and lots of family it was a great day!!!

Spring Break!

Im not sure if I could ever forget this day. (Although I don't remember the exact date!) At Easter dinner, Terri, Sherri and I made plans to do something with all the kids for Spring Break. We picked a day and decided to go to Potter Park Zoo! Super fun right? Well, the weather forecast was not in our favor, but we decided to chance it anyways. Never again will I do this! We each have a car full of kids. Terri, Sherri, Clara and Addi were in one car. Me, Emma, Liv, and Caitlin in mine. We get to the zoo...unload all the kids and strollers and lunches. Go to the gift shop and buy a membership...then 2 are cold we get them hoodies, and the other kds a small toy. $70 later there is a tornado watch and we are advised not to go to the zoo....oh yeah and its POURING! Bolt back to the car, get all the kids loaded up to find the Hands on Museum. As we are driving there (and slightly lost in downtown Lansing!) the tornado siren is going off!
We finally make it to the museum, unload the kids and leave the cars to take cover. After moving our cars several times, we are finally in a good spot and the sirens stop. We have a 'picnic' in the basement of the mueseum. The good news is, we sneak up a side staircase and get in for free! The kids all ended up having a blast which was the main point! Very cool for them! They even had a room for Liv to go and play in, so the crazy day ended well. And with the thought, "What were we thinking??"

Easter 2010

Easter was soo much fun this year! I of course had to go out and buy Liv a beautiful new dress to wear! I took her and Emma to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. Emma was really excited, Olivia not too sure. At least she didnt cry this year! Here they are before seeing the bunny!
My mom and I dyed eggs with the girls together this year. They both had so much fun! Olivia wanted to help soo much! She kept cracking eggs when she dropped them into the colors. She was amazed that they were able to change colors! It was a fun night!

I think that Olivia's favorite part of Easter this year was finding all of the eggs in the morning! She had soo much fun running around the house and looking for the eggs and was soo excited each time she found one. She couldn't wait to show us all every egg she found! She wasn't as excited about her Easter basket as she was about the eggs, but she did like some of the goodies she found in there! She got 2 baskets this morning one from Grandma and one from the Easter bunny. She also got one from Meme and Grandpa J and Aunt Mel and Great Grandma. WOW! Lucky girl. She made out and got TONS of candy, a new bathing suit and cover up, lots of new toys and books! We celebrated with our family at our cousin Sherri's house. We had LOTS of family there. The kids all were able to participate in an Easter Egg hunt, which they all of course enjoyed. Olivia was a little nervous about this so she had to be helped by grandma. Overall, it was a great holiday and Olivia had a super fun day!

March 28, 2010

These next SEVERAL posts are going to be mostly for me. I have decided that the best way to get on with my blog is to get it up to date. I am going to be posting pics and stories from the past several months and get caught up. Bear with me anyone who gets an email for every post...they will slow down!
These pictures are from the first few days of nicer weather! Olivia loves to go to the park and swing on the swings. We take her every chance that we get. She doesnt even care if it is chilly out, she still loves to be outside and play.

We did find out though, that she does NOT like Grandpa's motorcycle! She has a very festive shirt for the occasion and my dad even put a skull cap on her and she was not having any of it. We tried to get her to smile or at least stop crying so my dad could have a picture but there was no way. We got a few shots of her and Storm too.

Olivia has switched daycares and is in a center. She is doing WONDERFUL here! She loves it! There are about the same amount of kids, but they are all her age. I think this will be a good move for her. She is already learning soo many new things, I am soo glad that I decided to make the switch. And she is now nice and close to me!

Im a bad mom

I feel soo bad. I haven't updated this in almost a year!!! Reading back through, there are soo many things im afraid I won't remember from the past 10 months that I have been deliquint, since I haven't blogged them. Im sure none of you readers care, but I will one day! Soo...I am going to start blogging again I've decided! Wish me luck! I not only have a lot of catching up to do, but I also want to create a book of my blog for Olivia when she gets older. An updated post will be following shortly with pics and all!

Nicer Weather

We have been enjoying the nicer weather the past few days. Olivia absolutely LOVES to be outside. She likes anything we do outside. We have been taking really long walks down the road, going to parks, playing on our swingset and just running around. Its been a lot of fun enjoying the warmer weather with her.

Besides that we have been busy with the usual things. Olivia is cutting some eye teeth so she has been extra crabby lately. She is also very determined to get her own way. So its been a loud few days around our house. She is developing a little temper, so thats not the funnest. lol. Stubborn little thing she is! She is well aware about what time out is and even put herself in it one day while Poppy was babysitting!!!

Also have to have a quick shoutout to Meme for her 50th birthday that was on Friday!

Olivia's 1st Haircut!

Olivia got her very 1st haircut on friday. Well, I guess it was more like a hair trim. My friend Chelsea did it for us.(THANK YOU) Olivia hated it and cried the entire time! (She is such a stinker!) It was worth it though, becuase now the hair is not in her face!
BEFORE

AFTER
Other than that, not much going on here. Olivia has yet another cold, and I have been home with her for the past 2 days. I hope she gets better soon, I hate it when she is so sick! She actually layed on the couch and watched cartoons today for about 30 consecutive minutes. (She never lays down or watches tv so I definetly knew she felt terrible.) She says so many words these days, I cannot even begin to list them. We are looking forward to spring coming so we can get outside and play and have fun!
